My approach to staying healthy and prosperous is to stay connected with nature. As a result, I live on a horse ranch with 4 horses, 1 goat and 2 cats. In addition, I have a fermented and cultured food business at the farmers market called Wise Goat Organics. For fun I like to listen to ska music and dance with my toddler.

My treatment modalities
Every child, teen or adult starts with an extensive “get to know you” initial appointment, which includes treatment. We go over your child’s health history, current symptoms, and future goals. Then, we make a treatment plan.
What does treatment consist of? I include the following modalities, as needed:
Shonishin for kids
Shonishin (show-nee-shin) is a Japanese needle-free technique based on the same meridian system as acupuncture. However, instead of “needles,” we use a series of gentle tools to brush and stimulate acupoints. Because a child’s energy system is sensitive and more on the surface of the body than adults, this method is effective to give a child “acupuncture” without stress. Also, it’s painless and works immediately!
Tuina for all ages
Tuina (twee-nah) is a therapeutic form of massage used in China for more than 5,000 years. It’s defined as the “ancient healing art of fingers and strength.” We use rhythmic compression techniques along different energy (meridian) channels, acupoints, muscles, and nerves to remove blockages and bring your body back to balance. Because it’s gentle and feels good, tuina is a wonderful modality for kids.
Cupping for all ages
Cupping is an ancient form of Asian medicine, during which we put special glass cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This suction can range from very gentle to deep. Cupping can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being. In addition, it can function as a type of massage when we use oil and move the cups (“running cups”). Cupping should feel good, as well as providing a deep sense of relief.
Functional medicine and nutrition consultation for all ages
Functional medicine is all about finding the root causes of your symptoms. Therefore, we often use lab tests to check for food intolerances, gastrointestinal microbe imbalances, and more. Treatment plans include dietary therapy, lifestyle changes, herbal remedies, and supplements.
Swedish Massage for adults
Swedish is the most well-known type of massage in the United States. My Swedish massage has a focus on pain management and relaxation. In addition, my treatments include lymphatic massage, as I integrate techniques for manual lymph drainage.
