Here’s my teen adding bass guitar to one of his electronic pieces (called Calm). He figured this out and then showed me - and I asked “how do you know what to play?” Because he’s never learned guitar and just randomly picked this up and started playing by ear. This marvels me!

Music marvels me and I know I love it but I don’t know how to create it. Thank you to everyone who does!

Honestly I think this was inspired because we watched the #billieeilish movie last night which was amazing. She and her brother are soooo talented. I love her music and her story.

You can take natural supplements or medications to reduce or block inflammation. However helpful, this is always a band aid approach if you’re not finding the root causes. For example:⁠

❌Antihistamines will reduce histamine reactions like allergies or hives, but they won’t redirect your immune system out of overproducing histamine.⁠

❌Ibuprofen or curcumin may help arthritic joints feel better temporarily but doesn’t stop arthritis.⁠

In many cases, we clear up hypothyroid conditions simply by adding missing nutrients and vitamins. Of these vitamins, the one most likely to be low is B12. This is often the case for vegetarians and even more so with vegans since you can’t get vitamin B12 from plant foods.⁠

Having a hard time getting enough 💤 during perimenopause / menopause? Adrenal hormone dysregulation could be to blame…⁠

During menopause, your ovaries retire from producing estrogen and progesterone, and your adrenal glands take over. This is a simplistic way of looking at it, but it’s important.⁠

In order to successfully sleep well through menopause, your adrenal function must be optimal, and the signals between your brain and adrenals (HPA axis) must be “online.”⁠

In both Chinese and functional medicine, we ALWAYS improve adrenal function to support perimenopause. The adrenal hormones we are concerned about are:⁠

With most autoimmune diseases, it’s essential to assess gut triggers. In a nutshell, this includes:⁠

📌Microbial imbalances.⁠

All of these conditions can be huge triggers for your immune system to go haywire. In other words, your immune system becomes dysregulated and attacks your own body tissues.⁠

Non-celiac gluten sensitivity is a real thing, and testing may reveal that you don’t have celiac disease, but you do have gluten intolerance.⁠
